THE GENTLEMEN ROBBERS

The adventures of Mister Tall and Mister Small, two robbers who believe politeness is an effective key to their work.

A Family Affair

The Gentlemen Robbers rarely visit families with young children - but it does happen....

A Meeting of the Minds

How did Mister Tall and Mister Small first meet and form their partnership?  This story reveals all...

Alexa cannot help you now

Inspired by a drawing on dA by fiftyshadeofgag, and an advert, a family take delivery of an Amazon Echo - and then have visitors....

Crossed Wires

While our heroes are visiting a house, they are surprised by a brief visit from their neighbour.  That is quickly dealt with, but Mister Tall sees something that leads them to call next on that poor, innocent bystander to their earlier robbery.  Sadly for them, there is more to the woman named Colette than meets the eye...  Special thanks to Doctor George for his input on this tale.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

This was actually, along with Goose Fair, the first story I ever published up on a website, and introduces the characters of Mister Tall and Mister Small as we know them.  They pay a visit where the residents return unexpectedly, and they have to deal with the new arrivals - politely, of course..

A Helping Hand

All she was doing was returning Maggie's glasses after they had been left in the shop - she certainly was not expecting to be bound and gagged by our polite pair.

The Play's The Thing

she's just won a part in the musical Urinetown, but she needs to know what it feels like to be tied up for some time.  When her aunt obliges, the last thing they expect is for Mister Tall and Mister Small to pay a visit...

Family Ties

A mother and two daughters - a recipe for family harmony this may not be, so it may eb some quiet thinking between the three of them would help.  It's fortunate, in a way, that Mister Tall and Mister Small are on hand to facilitate such a period of time...

Indian Takeaway

One of thre challenges I like to set myself is to tell a story using an unfamiliar language.  So, when I wanted to tell the tale of when Mister Tall and Mister Small visited the Bangra Belt in Leicester, I could not refuse the chance.  My apologies, as always, if my Urdu is not up to scratch.

Scarves of Honour

Our two friends like to respect the cultural and religious differences between themselves and those they visit - and this tale provides an illustration of that.

Study in Grey

This tale was one of a short series I wrote for Christmas 2008, as three women with similar tastes in colours are netertained by our polite pair.

Respect to the Female

I suppose it had to happen eventually, given the multi-cultural mix in the UK - Mister Tall and Mister Small visit a Muslim household, and have to secure the daughter, followed by the mother, while being respectful at the same time...

The St Monica's Ladies Circle

The Gentlemen Robbers sometimes accept commissions, but when oen of their jobs is interrupted by teh unexpcted return of the ladies of the house, and a church group are coming soon after, they apply their ingenuity to teh situation.

Surprise Surprise

The plan was to have a surprise party for their friend - but the unexpected arrival of Mister Tall and Mister Small madse it a far more different evening than they expected...

The Italian Job

Mister Tall in particular is a man of diverse talents - as he demonstrates when visitng the apartment of an Italian diplomat...

Mirror of The Soul

If you've read Respect To The Female, you know how gracious Mister Tall and Mister Small can be with those who follow a different faith.  There are degress of observance, however, though that does nto bother them - they simply adapt and adjust, as this tale tells.

Private Collection

Our 'heroes' are hired to raid the home fo a wealthy widow and retrieve an item from her private gallery - a woman who has  a veyr particular taste in her domestic and security staff.

A Quiet Evening At Home

Mandy had planned for a quiet, simple evening with her daughters while her husband was away "on business".  So, when Mister Tall and Mister Small walked in, things did not quite go according to plan - and how was this linked to a visit by the China Doll Gang elsewhere?

Jubilate!

It's the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elisabeth the Second, but for three women in an English manor house the day is interrupted by two erudite guests. Christyne appears by kind permission of petsilkenvixen.

Double Punishment

Lauren was only a few minutes late arriving home, but it was enough for her mother to dole out her usual punishment. As she applied the paddle, however, two uninvited guests drop in. Amand Lu offers her version of our polite purloiners...

Sara's Gentlemanly Intrusion

Sara Philips and the girls of the Carrington Girls Detective Agency are enjoying a night out, but on their return to Rachel's house they find that Mister Tall and Mister Small are paying a visit for reasons unknown - at first. A very special tale from the pen of Golavus, with surprises and shocks for all...
